Mercado Libre came to Chispa with the idea of a site where young people from Latin America can have free access to an educational offer to learn about technology.

Our challenge was to create a platform that is easily accessible to all young people and that generates a sense of curiosity and ambition to change their future.

Understanding in depth the options that currently exist in the market and the difficulties faced by young people to access quality education for free, formed the basis upon which we started building the platform.

Based on our discovery processes, we began creating the initial screens with a focus on the site's usability. After validating the wireframes in low fidelity, it was time to apply the visual design layer to the site and then proceed to the development stage.

The aim of a wireframe is to provide a visual understanding of screens early in a project to get stakeholder and project team approval before the creative phase gets under way.

Design, as we recognize, is an ongoing and iterative journey, wherein improvement is achieved through the integration of feedback and suggestions.

Once we understood the difficulties of this project, we split the tasks among teams and calculated estimated completion times.

This made a flexible plan that keeps our client's schedule and budget in check.

Using a youthful and eye-catching color palette, we were able to generate a striking visual identity.

FITCHIN will be at the forefront of building a whole new experience for gaming communities and the esports ecosystem through a Web3 platform, powered by a strong NFT marketplace and their native crypto token $CHIN.

Our challenge was to create one of the most ambitious projects to date as a company and provide gamers, streamers and esports teams from around the world with all the tools they need to take their game to the next level.

We knew that this was an extremely large project when we began to plan the way in which we were going to solve it, so the first thing we established was the way of working. How the teams would be organized, the time that each task would take and where we should focus more was one of the advantages we had when we started planning the project.

After understanding the challenges that we had to face in this project, we delimited the tasks in teams and estimated completion times to generate an agile and dynamic framework that would not delay our client's general times and budget.

We started the project side by side with our client through multiple workshops and work sessions. These meetings played a crucial role in defining the requirements and objectives that they were looking to accomplish with the project and with their stakeholders.

In the first two workshops, we focused on understanding who were going to be the real users of the platform. We conducted interviews to understand three diferents segments: Pro Gamers, amateurs and fans/viewers.

We worked on a Brandbook. The concept for the FITCHIN logo is based on a modified F-letter and a coin, resembling the shape of the original arcade games machines.

Intuitive and accessible. Functional and easy to read. With these characteristics in mind, our UI design team created a modern and visually stunning interface for a responsive desktop-to-mobile experience. 

Using visual elements very close to the gaming community like gamification and rewards, we provided a clean and recognizable design that users can adopt easily from the start.

The way in which users had to interact with the platform was a crucial point in the project. We had to organize the information in a hierarchical architecture that was intuitive and easily accessible to people.  

After mapping the information architecture, we transferred those insights to generate the wireframes that would make up the general structure of the site, from low fidelity to high-end level.

Through our discovery workshops we understood that Fitchin users would be people using desktop platforms in most cases. We generated a responsive grid for the desktop version where we were able to order elements in a precise and aligned way, in a format adaptable to mobile versions.

The e-sports community is revolutionizing competitions around the world today, with futuristic ideas and cutting-edge technology at all times.  

Our idea was for Fitchin to present an interface that matches those perceptions that gamers have of the world of e-sports, with a clean and modern design and a vibrant color palette that attracts attention and invites people to be part of a new and exciting world of possibilities.

ARBA teamed up with our UX design specialists to transform its digital experience. This involved redesigning the ARBA’s primary digital touch points, including its public websites and mobile app.

Simplifying the tax payment experience for citizens was not an easy task, but we accepted the challenge and the result was more than positive.

The work took all aspects of the UX design process, including user research, information architecture, interaction design, ideation, rapid prototyping, usability testing, visual design, front-end development and training.  

We work closely with ARBA to ensure a comprehensive understanding of user needs, business improvement opportunities, and the most important aspects to consider when redesigning the site.

We transformed ARBA’s large and dissimilar color palette into one that is focused and effective. This lead us to the creation of a detailed style guide, defining a design system of the user interface components for a unified visual language across the entire application.

The style chosen for the visual design was minimalist and clean. The fonts and the contrast guarantee a great readability without losing their appeal. We created an all-new experience on mobile that provided potential customers with a simplified user journey and path to pay taxes.

Changing the way people can pay their taxes was an extremely important task, which is why we understood that we had to transfer that concept to a design that were simple and modern at the same time, but usable and accessible to all people.

We aimed for a "less is more" mentality for this project, knowing that information overload throughout the site could affect the overall user experience.

We learned in depth about the necessity to reflect the actual impact of the company in this project, developing a more simple but comprehensive report.  

We decided together how to present complex statistics and numbers on a macro level, turning them into a powerful and easy-to-understand visual presentation at the individual user level.

Understanding that Mercado Libre has a highly recognizable identity, we created our style guide based on colors and components very close to that of its main platform, to reinforce the brand concept.

We wanted to be on par with the aesthetics that Mercado Libre traditionally uses on its platforms, which is why we opted for an organized, spacious and highly recognizable design for its users.  

White and yellow on high contrast, modern animations on interactive buttons and clean structure are some of the most notable aspects of the visual design of this project.

We understand that Mercado Libre has a strong brand image, that makes people keep in mind a consistent user experience across all their sites.  

We also understood that one of theirs core values (and ours) is to put the focus on people first. With that in mind, the interactions in the site revolved around promoting user experiences and striking and fluid transitions with a modern twist.

We started working by identifying the users pain points and highlighting positive aspects that the company could offer through the discovery process, to then structure all the information in the first wireframes of the platform.  

This would be the foundation of the entire project, so it was critical to have a full understanding of all the site's needs and priorities.

We understood that Quarks had an extremely risky concept to present its business model, and we knew that failing to bring that idea to fruition could result in financial losses for their company.  

Through several sessions and workshops we were able to establish how we were going to organize ourselves, both internally with our team and with the Quarks team to fully understand the idea they wanted to communicate to their users.

Quarks needed a new visual image to accompany the idea of atoms as founders in a galaxy of possibilities, such as the entrepreneurial world.  

Using this concept of galaxies and atoms, we managed to create a visual identity that complements a futuristic and modern vision.

Using the idea of a quark as the minimal expression of an atom, we reflect this large-scale evolution on the website, where the user is taken on an easy-to-navigate interstellar-style journey with a futuristic aesthetic.  We kept it easy and simple throughout the site, taking the user on a travel that answers the most important questions about Quarks and its business model.

an accessible trip to the stars

Sometimes coming up with an idea can be more complicated than putting it into practice, so we knew that the real visual challenge of this project would be bringing to life an experience that was similar to a trip through space.  

Our development team managed to create an extremely fluid and innovative interaction experience, where the main protagonist was scrolling through the page between sections, animating shapes and transitions created with Greensock and Three.js, libraries belonging to JavaScript and WebGL.
